Important information
Our fees listed out in full below cover all of the work required to complete the remortgage of your property, including dealing with registration at the Land Registry. However, we recommend that you contact us to discuss your specific needs and obtain a personalised quote.
Who will manage my case?
Our conveyancing work is expertly handled by Janine Heil, a solicitor qualified since 2004, who supervises all related activities. She works closely with her team of assistants to ensure that your remortgage process is managed efficiently and with the utmost care.
What are our prices?
Conveyancing fees
| Irrespective of property price | £900 plus VAT (£1,080) |
Supplemental fees
| Digital onboarding fee | £25 plus VAT (£30) per person |
| Bank Transfer fee | £39 plus VAT (£46.80) |
| Leasehold supplement fee | £350 plus VAT (£420) |
Are there any additional costs?
You should anticipate covering disbursements, which are costs payable to and set by third parties, they may vary but are usually:
| Land Registry fee for Title Checks | approx. £14 – £21 |
| Bankruptcy search | £6 per beneficiary |
| Comprehensive property search | approx. £270 |
| Land Registry registration fee | Dependent on the property value – please refer to the Land Registry’s fee calculator |
What is the process and timeline?
The remortgage process can vary significantly depending on the property’s characteristics and the specific remortgage being secured. Typical steps include:
| Understanding the property and its title, including searches | 0 – 3 weeks |
| Reporting to you on the property and its title | 3 weeks |
| Completing the new mortgage and securing funds | 3 – 4 weeks |
| Registering with the Land Registry after completion | 4 – 6 weeks |
Please note
Our pricing assumes the property is registered at H.M Land Registry.
Additional fees may apply if the property is unregistered or if the process encounters complications such as defective or unregistered titles.
If an Indemnity Policy is required, a fee of £50 plus VAT will be charged for advising on and arranging it.
